Goodbye Ohio, Hello Adventure! -- Leaving Ohio on I-70 Westbound
One Dozen Things About Miss Keating . . .
1. I LOVE my FAMILY. I love my parents, my siblings, their spouses, the babies, my aunts and uncles; Yes, I just listed my entire family, but they are AWESOME! We are close-knit & weird, and my life would be severely lacking without them.
2. I am Adventurous. I love to travel, explore new places, ride roller coasters, try new restaurants, take random back roads just to see where it goes, etc. My Bucket List is packed with random adventures. My favorite city in the world is New York City. The vacation I'm most looking forward to in the future: Route 66 Road Trip.
3. Laughter is the best medicine. Laffy Taffy & T-Rex jokes are absolutely the best jokes in the world. If the joke is corny and fit for children, I love it!
4. Country Music. Peaches. NASCAR. Seafood. Trucks. Sweet Tea. "Y'all" -- I've discovered there is definitely a side of me that belongs in the South, who knew?
5. Friends. Best. TV Show. Ever. There's just something about this show that perfectly fits my sense of humor. I still laugh out loud nearly every episode . . . even when I know the joke that's coming.
6. Random Skills I have: I can parallel park surprisingly well, I can add jeweled beading to prom dresses, and I make a mean Chocolate Chip Cookie.
7. Organization. My brain naturally looks to organize things: my closet, ABC ordered papers, my pantry . . . I don't realize I do this, and I can't help it. No, I am not diagnosed with OCD, and this doesn't affect my daily life at all, but I don't like sloppy!
8. Fairness. My parents raised my siblings and me to be fair and honest. I strive to uphold this value in my own life. I try to remain consistent when I deal with people and don't ask, or expect, rules to be bent for me. While I strive for fairness, sadly, it is sometimes difficult for me to understand and comprehend that sometimes things just aren't fair.
9. I'm Strong-willed and Stubborn. I have never had a problem with peer pressure. I cannot be coaxed into doing something I don't want to do; likewise, I rarely back down when I believe in something. My dad likes to provide evidence of this trait with a story about the time I was asked to put away all the stuffed animals I drug out . . .
10. Competitive. I hate losing. If I lose, odds are I'll ask to play again.
11. Non-strengths: Monopoly -- I'm not cut-throat enough to play this game; Electricity -- my dad was an electrician & I have NO idea what he is saying when he tries to explain electrical things to me; Football Knowledge -- I grew up in Stark County (home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame) and went to Mount Union (excellent football program), yet I have no understanding of football.
12. Perfect Evening? Back in February of 2014 I spent a Friday night hanging out with my brother, his wife and their children. We watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in their basement, ate Jersey Mike's subs, and their kids had glow sticks. Laid-back & normal = AWESOME!
